We support young adults aged 18–25 facing homelessness and low self-esteem in Wigan and Greater Manchester, through lived experience, compassion, and real community.
A warm, non-judgemental drop-in with food, hygiene supplies, and immediate support for young people in crisis.
Workshops, peer groups, and creative sessions that rebuild self-worth, resilience, and emotional strength.
Practical skills, employment support, and community belonging to create lasting independence and hope.
Bright Futures Foundation is a Community Interest Company founded by Paul and Gina, two people who know what it feels like to be lost, rejected, and without support. That lived experience is our greatest asset.
We don't approach young people as problems to solve. We approach them as people with futures waiting to be found.
Meet the foundersPaul experienced severe bullying during school, leaving deep emotional scars. Instead of letting this define him negatively, he uses this experience to connect with young adults who feel unseen and unworthy.
Forced out of home at 18 and living in a garage for two weeks, Gina developed remarkable resilience. A later ADHD diagnosis helped her understand her journey, and she now uses it to help others find theirs.
I didn't think anyone would actually listen. But they listened, and then they helped me figure out the rest.Programme participant, cohort 3, now a peer mentor with Bright Futures Foundation
Every young person we support is a real story of change. Here's what that looks like at scale.
A calm, welcoming drop-in with food, warmth, and compassionate staff. Young people in crisis leave with a plan and the beginning of trust.
Workshops, peer groups, and creative sessions that rebuild the sense of self that trauma and rejection erode.
Cooking, budgeting, CV writing, and employment guidance. Practical tools for a stable, independent life.
Mentoring, peer connection, and a place that feels like home. A community that stays with you beyond the programme.
